Forest Green are waiting on the fitness of Jeffery Imudia (thigh), Wayne Turk (hamstring) and Steve Davies (illness).
Tamworth would need a win to survive due to their inferior goal difference, but a point would be enough for Forest Green to avoid relegation.
Forest Green boss Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "We have to go there and win, I don't think there's many teams in this country other than maybe the top three or four in the Premier League, who are clever enough to go and play for a draw.
"So we have to go and take the game to them and we have to look to win the game.
"It always seems to go down to the wire, it's happened for a number of reasons but at the end of the day we've got a game to go and we need to win it."
